Wick’d Bobcat Orchard offers private access to a one-of-a-kind Downeast Maine photography location combining a mature apple orchard, rustic farm scenery, natural landscapes, and beautiful tidal ocean frontage—all on the same property.

Whether you're a photographer searching for a distinctive location to offer your clients or an individual looking for the perfect setting and planning to bring your own photographer, the property provides a wide variety of backdrops without having to travel between locations. Sessions are perfect for family portraits, engagements and proposals, maternity photos, senior and graduation portraits, couples, holiday photos, professional branding, and other special occasions.

Photography Location Rental — $75 per hour
One-hour minimum. Bring the photographer of your choice and enjoy scheduled private access to the property for your session.

 

Photographer Mini-Session Block — $185 for 3 hours
Professional photographers can reserve a three-hour block and schedule multiple clients back-to-back, making Wick’d Bobcat Orchard an ideal location for seasonal mini-session events. Photographers are welcome and encouraged to offer the orchard as a preferred location to their clients.

Apple Season — Our Premier Photography Season

​

The most sought-after time to photograph the property is expected to be early August through early October, when the orchard comes alive for apple season. Mature apple trees filled with fruit create a classic Maine orchard backdrop that is especially well suited for family, children’s, couples, engagement, senior, and fall-themed photography. As the season progresses, the changing landscape and fall foliage provide an entirely different look, making this a location photographers can return to throughout the season.

Plan Your Session Around the Tide

​

Because our waterfront is tidal ocean frontage, timing your session around the tide can make a dramatic difference in the scenery. For the best opportunity to capture the property’s water views, we strongly recommend scheduling waterfront photography within a few hours before or after high tide, with sessions closest to high tide generally providing the fullest water backdrop. Guests and photographers should check the local tide schedule when selecting their date and time.

With the orchard, waterfront, natural Maine landscape, seasonal fruit, changing foliage, and coastal scenery all available on one private property, Wick’d Bobcat Orchard gives photographers the opportunity to create several completely different looks during a single session.

Advance reservations are required. Photography services are not currently provided by Wick’d Bobcat Orchard; guests must bring their own photographer. Professional photographers interested in using the property regularly, hosting seasonal mini sessions, or recommending Wick’d Bobcat Orchard as a preferred location for their clients are encouraged to contact us about availability.

Local Photographers — Come Experience the Property

Are you a professional photographer interested in offering Wick’d Bobcat Orchard as a location for your clients? We’d love to introduce you to the property.

For a limited time, local professional photographers can schedule their first one-hour photography session at no location charge in exchange for providing Wick’d Bobcat Orchard with 5–10 professionally edited photographs showcasing the orchard, waterfront, and overall property that we may use on our website, social media, and other marketing materials.

You are welcome to bring a client and conduct a normal paid photography session during your complimentary hour—we're not asking you to spend the entire session photographing the property. We simply ask that you capture several additional images that showcase the location while you're here.

Images featuring your clients are not required. If you would like to provide client photographs showing how the property looks during an actual portrait session, those images should only be provided for our marketing use with the appropriate permission from the individuals photographed.

Our goal is simple: give local photographers an opportunity to experience and photograph the property at no cost while building relationships with photographers who may want to offer Wick’d Bobcat Orchard as a preferred location for future clients.
